Butoh
Kandinsky referred to the simplicity and abstraction of Japanese drawings revealing the inner sound of the picture. Symbols serve as communication tools between people, computers, and any other parallel universe. They withhold information we either receive or transmit. Natures matrices of symbols are the infinite possibilities of vibrations felt within our universe. Butoh combines dance, theater, improvisation and influences of Japanese traditional performing arts with German Expressionist dance (Neue Tanz) to create a unique performing art form that is both controversial and universal in its expression. The ideal location for Butoh is in a natural surounding, however contemporary Butoh is mainly exercised in a theatre using natural elements as expressive devices. The expression of Butoh is often base around archetypes of human emotion, such as death and rebirthing. Our emotional world reflects the dual nature of our universe, without darkness there isn't light and without suffering we don't experience joy.
